St Paul Pioneers @ Blaine Titans Youth Football Camp

On Wednesday August 10 and Thursday August 12, 2011, 22 players and four coaches volunteered to provide their football knowledge, as coaches, to over 190 kids, ages 8-14, at the Blaine Titans’ Youth Football Camp. The camp was held at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minnesota.

The following offensive players: DeMario Walton, Joseph Ubani, Joe Sellwood, Darius Myers, Ron Toles, Rob Wills, Paul Ciochetto, Ricky Smales, Deshay Hudson, Brian Warden, Zach Thompson, Jacob Husnik and Joseph Mapson demonstrated the proper techniques of how to block, run, catch and throw to the campers.

While the following defensive players: Nate Beulah, Dion Wilson, Kym Trueblood, Terry Jones, Darrel Young, Guillame Paek and Patrick Mitambo taught the young players how to properly tackle a ball carrier, rush the passer and defend a pass.

Defensive lineman Kym Trueblood was the hit of the camp; especially with the youngest campers. Dressed in his helmet, shoulder pads, khaki shorts and kid-like enthusiasm for football, Kym taught the youngsters how to avoid a block and sack the quarterback.

The two Pioneer specialist’s, long snapper Kyle Stelter and kicker/punter Jay Harding, taught the proper ways to snap, kick and punt a football.

Head coach Mark Heiser, offensive coordinator Rob Neumann, assistant coaches Brian Ritchie and Pete Globa were also on-hand to assist with the camp.
